I have had a great experience working with you Joan in the process of your publishing my book "Shelter from the Storm" that you are releasing as we speak. You coached me and were a great editor so we produced a great book. The first book signings are scheduled and I'm awaiting the door bell ringing when the boxes of books arrive.

You were also great working with five of us getting "Flash Tales: An Adventure in Words" published and released this week. It has been an exciting year!

Hello Joan, I found your blog, and gave it a look today. This little blurp of information is really very helpful. I write, and speak publicly, but never hold myself out to be a REAL master of the written word, so I genuinely appreciated the tip, and will use it often! If you are ever in the Houston area, please give me a shout, as I would love to visit with you, and Steve.

Julie, thanks for writing, and thanks for your kind words. You're right. We did have a great group going with IN, but you know, people move on to other projects. Yes, please, put a link on your blog to my site, and I'll put your link here. The key to success is information, information, information and how to use it. Maybe we can all help each other.--Joan

Howdy, Joan!

I second what Anne wrote about your monthly Q&A with IN. We had such a great group and I thoroughly enjoyed my tenure with all of you. I'll have to keep my eye on this blog to get my "Joan's wisdom" fix. I have a blog going too -- started it back in 2007, but have revived it and will sustain it now: http://brittleskillet.com. It will be about various things, and I expect writing will continue to be one of my topics, although it's much less writing focused than yours or Anne's. I'd like to put a link to your blog on mine. Please feel free to add mine to yours if you like.

I love that I can read your wisdom again. Thanks for blogging!

Great to hear from you Joan. Stop by again. I'm getting buzz from a lot of industry folks. I had plugs last weekend from Bibliophile Stalker, Editorial Ass (an assistant editor at a big New York house) and even a visit from agent Janet Reid, one of the stars of the publishing blogosphere. And I'll be happy to add something here.

Anne, I stopped by your site and it looks great. Congrats! And thanks for the kind words about my Q&A column. I miss doing it, so that's why I've added that feature to my site. And thanks for the offer to do some guest blogging at your site. I'd be happy to if you'd do the same for me. I'm still figuring out all the ins and outs of links and social networking, but I'm having a great time with it. See you soon on the Net!--Joan
